Six Russell — Hobart

Six Russell is a bold reimagining of a traditional bakery-café fused with fine-dining, seamlessly blending industrial aesthetics with refined design elements to create a space that is both functional and visually striking. Located in Sandy Bay, this establishment serves as a testament to innovative design. Consistent black powder-coated frames throughout the exterior and interior provide a cohesive and modern look, while the interior is accentuated with sleek, polished concrete floors and feature walls painted with fine grit brushed Porter’s Paint, adding texture and depth to the space. The coffee and island benches are highlighted with feature stone surfaces, adding a touch of luxury, and a galvanised steel entry portal welcomes the patrons into the bistro where a distinctive circular window, adorned with Autex film, introduces dynamic colour play and a sense of openness. The design of Six Russell reflects a commitment to quality and design, ensuring that the establishment stands out as a premier destination in Hobart's culinary scene.

Simmons Wolfhagen — Kingston Office Fit-out

Large floor to ceiling glass doors showcasing solid Tas Oak timber door handles lead into this functional yet dynamic workspace. Stunning Laminex Stecka wood slats are a standout feature along the entranceway ceiling. A gorgeous Essastone bench top sits proudly in the reception area and Danish walnut doors with Dorma hardware are just a few of the many elements that complement and enhance this thoughtfully designed space. Custom made carpet tiles marry the colour scheme of the company’s branding and colourful Autex Acoustic panels in each of the meeting rooms and offices add an artistic flare. Creativity, expert craftsmanship and professionalism merge together in this sleek office fit-out.

Set in the centre of Hobart’s CBD is Coal River Farm’s city store. This sleek fit-out was architecturally designed and built all within a four week turnaround. From the Caesarstone benchtop and Polytec Venette Cinder splashback, to the tiled pillars, timber features and laser cut lettering with etched graphics on a Gold Satin surface, this fit-out was built with attention to the finest detail.

Brickworks Studio — Hobart
Completion: February 2016

CWD received the Light Commercial Award in 2016 at the HIA Tasmanian Housing Awards for the Brickworks Design Studio in Hobart. This versatile and multipurpose studio features high quality local products; limestone floor tiles, glass partitions, Terracde and brick feature walls — few of the many elements used to combine the old and new within this Historical listed building site.
